SO WHO PARKED THEIR CAR ON TOP OF MOUNT JUDD?

-

PRANKSTERS put HALF of a Mini at the top of a famed Nuneaton landmark - and here’s how and why they did it.

After speculation that initial photographs had been ‘photoshopped’ and other suggestions it was a cardboard cut out of a car, it has now been confirmed that half of a red Mini car was placed at the top of Mount Judd.

Japesters put the car on top of the well-known man-made mound at some point in the week and now we can reveal how and why.

Dan, one of those behind the stunt, said: “We took it up just for a laugh. It was a spur of the moment thing.”

Dan revealed the car concerned, half a Mini, was scheduled to be scrapped.

He said: “It was a vehicle that was being scrapped and we thought it was too good to crush it’s an original Mini, well, half of one.”

As to why they did it he added: “We just thought we’ll bring it up and give everyone something to look at in the morning.

“Everyone looks at Mount Judd every day and clearly it was noticed straight away.

“As I said it was just to brighten it up a little bit and make good use of a classic Mini.”

Amazingly it did not take the conspirators long either.

Dan revealed it took four of them not much more than ten minutes to get the car up there.

And he also revealed there are already plans for a follow-up stunt.

“Apparently it has already gone but we do have a plan B,” Dan said. But it is under wraps at the moment.”

What is known is that the appearance of the half car caused something of a stir for commuters along Tuttle Hill and continued to do so as officials were spotted attempting to remove it.

Warwickshire Police Force has confirmed it received no official complaints about the prank.
