Bell Green home the cheapest sold in city at just £55,000

A THREE-BEDROOMED house in Coventry sold for just £55,000 the cheapest property sold in the city according to figures just released.

The latest Land Registry data for August revealed 130 Tallants Road in Bell Green changed hands for £55,000.

A listing on property website Rightmove described the three-bedroomed end-of terrace property as ideal for either first-time buyers or investors.

Particular­s described it as “a superb end of terrace home” with a “lovely kitchen/diner and family lounge”.

The double-glazed house also boasted a “modern bathroom” and a “lovely garden” according to the descriptio­n.

The property was freehold and had gas central heating too.

The next cheapest property to change hands in Coventry in August was a flat, 3 Bohun Street, Tile Hill, which was sold for £67,000.

Another flat , 70 Hawthorne Lane, Tile Hill, sold for £76,000.

By contrast the most expensive house sold in Coventry in August was 161 Canley Road, Canley, which fetched £452,000.

It just pipped another neighbouri­ng house in Canley to top spot.

Number 250 Canley Road changed hands for £450,000, while 45 Stoneleigh Avenue, Earlsdon, was the third most expensive house sold in the city in August at £420,000.

Looking further afield in Warwickshi­re the most expensive house sold in the county in August fetched a whopping £1.45million.

It was Upper Farm, Whatcote, Shipston-on-Stour.

The second most expensive house sold in Warwickshi­re in August was Finwood Cottage in Mill Lane, Lowsonford, near Henley-in-Arden which changed hands for £1.4million.

The cheapest property to change hands in Warwickshi­re the same month was a flat in Nuneaton.

Flat 17, Sutton Park, Camp Hill Road was sold for £64,000.

The most expensive residentia­l sale in the UK in August was of a flat in Knightsbri­dge, London SW1, which was sold for the jaw-dropping sum of £18,250,000.

The cheapest residentia­l sale during the month was of a terraced property in Cannock Chase, Staffordsh­ire, for just £5,300.
