It’s the REAL thing!
SNUBBED FOR TWO YEARS, COVENTRY IS NOW READY TO WELCOME ICONIC COCA-COLA TRUCK IN TIME FOR THE FESTIVE PERIOD
IT is the sight that is synonymous with Christmas – and this year the Coca-Cola truck will be making an appearance in Coventry.
Last year was the second year running the truck snubbed Coventry, but it will be back in town next month.
People will be able to see the truck and enjoy the festivities when it calls into Broadgate on Monday, December 11. It will be available for people to see and enjoy from 11am until 7pm on the day.
Trish Willetts, Coventry Business Improvement District said: “The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck and its tour have become a huge part of Christmas, I know I always look forward to seeing the advert during the holidays.
“So the fact that this iconic vehicle is not only coming to Coventry, but actually into the city centre, is a massive coup and it provides a central location for everyone to come along.
“It is going to be a great day in the city centre and I would encourage everyone to come along and get into the spirit of the season.
“We have so many exciting things coming up during the festive season and this is the first of many announcements. The holidays are certainly coming to Coventry.” The iconic truck tours the country every festive period, and the arrival of the famous red wagon has previously prompted huge queues at Asda in Walsgrave. The last time the brightly lit, red and white truck came to Coventry to hand out cans of Coke was at Asda in Walsgrave in 2014. The 6.5m-long 13 tonne truck has been touring the UK’s roads for five years while Coca-Cola’s Christmas adverts have been seen on our TV screens since November 1995.
