CAN YOU HOLD OUT FOR A HEROIC HEDGEHOG?

-

IN THE darkest of times, says the blurb, the world needs a hero.

But it seems even heroes need a little help from time to time – and that’s just the case with spikey superhero Sonic the Hedgehog in a new game set for release on Tuesday: Sonic Forces.

The game follows Sonic the Hedgehog as a member of a resistance force, up against Dr Eggman who has taken over the world with the help of a robot army and a mysterious new villain.

Players can control Classic and Modern versions of Sonic, as well as create their very own character with hundreds of accessories to choose from, as they battle an all-star line-up of well-known enemies as well as the new and most powerful foe, Infinite.

‘Team up to take back the world!’ is the rallying cry which will see players speeding through ruined landscapes as Modern Sonic and being catapulted across obstacle-ridden areas as Classic Sonic.

Scattered around levels are golden rings which help to protect players from damage although they will lose their rings if they are hit and, unlike other games in the franchise, lost rings can’t be recollected.

Published By Sega, it is available for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, Play Station 4 and Xbox One.

Fans can pre-order the game now with prices starting around £27.99.
