Town set for trampoline park

A FINAL leap is being made towards the completed works for a new trampoline park.

Having set a February opening date for the new Red Kangaroo trampoline park at the former RSM Industries Ltd in School Lane, Exhall, a planning application has been submitted to make a final change to the building.

The new facility, which will be the first of its kind in the borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth, is being built in the former industrial warehouse in Exhall and bosses hope to see it opened by the first week in February next year.

But planning permission still needs to be granted for a number of minor changes to the already approved plan.

According to a proposal, submitted to the Town Hall, the changes include moving the door entrance, amendments to the parking layout, relocating the cycle rack, internal alterations, adding a mezzanine floor and an associated external staircase.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has set a target decision date for the amendment application as December 20.

In the meantime, a spokesman for RedKangaroo explained more about the new park, saying: “The huge building will house a whole host of super-bouncy, super-sized interconnecting trampolines plus masses of air-bound activities and state-of-the-art.

“RedKangaroo have a great reputation of providing more than just trampolining and this park in Coventry will be their best ever yet providing far more fun activities then even their other two parks.”

As well as a main court with wallto-wall trampolines, RedKangaroo will offer a whole host of additional aerial activities - including wipeout, tumble track, reaction wall, foam pits, slide, challenge area, gladiator beam, basket ball slam dunk, dodgeball court and a large soft play area.

There are other features which have yet to be announced the company added.

Paul Wrightman, managing director of RedKangaroo , said: “We chose this area because there is currently no other trampoline park and this site gave us the size of premises that we were looking for.

“Our focus will be on providing a high quality and safe environment. We will be offering a far different experience to other trampoline parks thanks to our extensive space.

“There will be a variety of sessions run including toddler, fitness, special educational needs and disability and disco nights as well as children’s and corporate parties.”

Jump In have just been granted planning permission to create a trampoline park in Tile Hill, Coventry, which is set to open next spring.
