Robbers strike in popular park

BIKE-RIDING thugs pushed a woman to the floor and stole her handbag as she walked through Bedworth’s biggest park.

The hooded pair pushed their victim, who has not been identified but is aged in her 60s, to the floor and took her handbag in the Miners Welfare Park on Sunday afternoon.

Police say that the duo left their victim, riding off towards the cricket pavilion.

Investigations are now ongoing to trace the robbers, who were both wearing dark hooded tops with their hoods up.
