■Take a night shift at the Coventry Winter Night Shelter. Email the Coventry Winter Night Shelter at cwns.asst@gmail.com, or visit their Facebook page. ■Feed some hungry mouths at Coventry Open Christmas. Queens Road Baptist Church will be open for 24 hours a day for five nights from Christmas Eve. Donations can be dropped off at the church between December 24 and 29.

■Donate a Christmas present to Coventry Cyrenians. The Coventry Cyrenians are hosting a Christmas Day dinner for the homeless, vulnerable and lonely.

■Fill a handbag with toiletries for women in need. Handbags for Homeless is asking for toiletries and other items that can be given out to homeless women who may not have easy access to such products.

■Take to the streets with Midland Langar Seva Society. To volunteer for a shift contact Gurdeep Dua on 07950 158814.

■Do a spot of Christmas shopping at the Emmaus shop - or donate some unwanted items. Contact Emmaus at www.emmaus.org.uk to arrange collection.

■Donate spare cash to Doorway. Doorway is appealing for monetary donations this year. Visit www.doorway.org.uk/Appeal/donate

■Donate a Christmas shoebox. Helping Hands is asking for people to prepare a Christmas shoebox for someone this year. Shoeboxes can be dropped off at 12 Gloucester Street, Leamington.
