The magic of Shrek

Don’t miss the chance to get tickets to see this musical blockbuster at a theatre near you

-

SHREK the Musical is back – and producers reckon it’s larger than life!

Following a recordbreaking UK and Ireland tour the blockbuster is preparing to get back on the road in December, so if you want to be the hero in your house you’d better get booking those tickets now.

Based on the story and characters from the Oscarwinning DreamWorks animation film, the hilarious and spectacular production turns the world of musicals upside down in an all-singing, all-dancing comedy.

Unlikely hero Shrek and his loyal steed, Donkey, set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful – if somewhat temperamental – Princess Fiona from her tower, which is guarded by a fire-eating, love-sick dragon.

Add the vertically-challenged Lord Farquaard, a gang of fairy tale misfits and a biscuit with attitude and you’ve got a crazy but irresistible mix of characters, adventure, laughter and romance in a show which is sure to be a winner with you and yours whatever their ages.

Directed by Nigel Harman, the production opens in Edinburgh on December 12 before touring across the UK until January 2019.

Steffan Harri plays Shrek, with Call the Midwife’s Fiona Main and X Factor finalist and Celebrity Big Brother star Amelia Lily each taking the role of Princess Fiona (who plays her where is listed on the Shrek the Musical website shrekthemusical.co.uk).

But whoever you see, there will be laughs and music with songs such as I’m a Believer.

Tickets cost from around £20 depending on the theatre, go to the website for more details.
