Warmest congrats to our ambulance crews
OUR magnificent West Midlands Ambulance Service have just won Ambulance Trust of the Year at the Health Business Awards ceremony held at the Grange Hotel in London.
They were shortlisted for the award alongside East of England, Yorkshire, North East and London Ambulance Services and are delighted to have won.
Paramedic Rob Moore, founder of the #BlueLightHappy campaign and non-executive director Jacynth Ivey collected the award on behalf of the trust.
Health Business magazine and website provide news, case studies and need-to-know information about issues affecting healthcare and hospital management in the NHS.
My wife and I have been enormously impressed by the dedication and skill of the brave men and women who protect our community night and day.
We send our warmest congratulations to them all. Councillor David Skinner (Con) Westwood ward
Take a leaf out of our schools’ books
I HAVE a suggestion for political harmony – follow the example of the leadership structure in many Coventry schools.
Theresa May could be Executive Prime Minister and Jeremy Corbyn Prime Minister. Donald Trump could be Executive President and Hilary Clinton President. Paul Graham Nuneaton
Wear our culture title with pride
IT would be great to have a City of Culture clothing store selling ties, cuff links, dresses, belts etc for us to purchase. Already have a City of Culture brand t-shirt. Ian Harris Radford
Father drove the Humber all over
RE: Remember When (Dec 14). I thought you might be interested, my father Burt Ferrar was a manager at The Humber Motor Company/Rootes Group all his working life.
He was, at one time, the only person insured to drive the Humber Victory staff car. He took it to all sorts of events in late 1960s and 1970s. He is pictured in the car at an event (above), the second photo is when he took it to Goodwood. Alan Ferrar Canley
