- By CLAIRE HARRISON Nuneaton Reporter news@trinitymirror.com

A LONG established Nuneaton pub is on the market with a price tag of almost £300,000.

The Granby pub in Church Street is being sold by Everard Cole, commercial property consultants.

On the firm’s website it says that offers in the region of £295,000 are expected for the boozer.

It has seen many changes over the years, previously being known as ‘Bilberries’ or the ‘Granby’s Head,’

Some historians have suggested that the pub has been a feature in Church Street since the late 1880s, when five pubs could be found in the area.

According to the Everard Cole website, the property is being ‘sold as seen’ and any items left on the day of completion will be inherited by the purchaser excluding any third party items such as beer raising equipment.

News about the sale of the Granby comes at a time when another drinking venue on Church Street, Reflex, is also set to undergo a change.

As previously reported Reflex is set to close and then be given a make-over to become a ‘Popworld’ club.

According to the Reflex page on Facebook, a ‘goodbye’ event is due to take place on the weekend of Friday, February 16 and Saturday, February 17.

No further details have been announced on when the transformation into the ‘Popworld’ club will take place, nor when it will officially open.
