ONE of Coventry’s most popular coffee shops has reopened after a makeover - and it looks impressive.

The Starbucks store on Broadgate had been closed for a number of weeks while renovations took place.

Now open again, the American coffee giant’s Coventry store looks radically different.

One of five branches in the city, the layout of the Broadgate store has been altered, as revealed during a launch party.

The new layout has seen the coffee bar be relocated, with more seating added.

The launch saw free coffee and food samples handed out to guests, while a singer performed live at the store, which faces out at the iconic Lady Godiva statue.

In addition, a raffle and prize draw was held to raise money for Starbucks’ local charity partner, Archie’s Smile.

Peter Knowles, district manager at Starbucks, said: “We cannot wait to reopen our doors here in Coventry with the help of our local charity partner, Archie’s Smile. We are looking forward to welcoming faces old and new, especially at our launch event where the local community will have the chance to taste a range of coffees served by our baristas.

“The store team are encouraging everyone to come along and check out our new, freshlook store.”

Along with its new look, the store will sell a number of new items from the Starbucks menu, including the dairy free Oat Drink and vegan BBQ Jackfruit Wrap.
