Rugby Cov and Wasps friendly whets fans’ appetite

WASPS v Coventry or Coventry v Wasps – either way it’s got plenty of fans talking since yesterday’s story about a possible pre-season friendly between the two clubs.

For the first time since Wasps’ move north to the Midlands, only one division will separate the city’s two leading rugby clubs next season with Coventry holding a 30-point lead at the summit of National One.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said he sees ‘no reason’ why the match could not happen, and it seems plenty of you are keen to see the sides go head to head.

The big question we posed was; where should the game be played? At the 32,000 seater Ricoh Arena or at the Butts Park Arena.

The poll we ran online so far saw the vote split with 53 per cent of you saying Ricoh Arena while 47 per cent are in favour of playing at the Butts.
