CADBURY CRÈME EGG TRAY BAKE

-

■ What you’ll need:

75g unsalted butter, softened 175g caster sugar 3 eggs 150g self-raising flour 1 tsp baking powder 75g Cadbury Bournville Cocoa Powder 150g icing sugar 5 Cadbury Crème Eggs, smashed up

■ How to make them:

1. Heat the oven to gas mark 4 (180 C), grease and line a 31x20 shallow tin.

2. In a bowl, beat together the butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the sifted flour, baking powder, 60g of the cocoa powder and fold in.

3. Turn into the prepared tin, push into the corners and level out at the top. Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes (test with skewer, it should come out clean if cooked). Cool and place on a wire rack.

4. Sift the icing sugar and remaining 15g of the cocoa powder into a bowl and add a little water to make a spreadable icing. Spread over the top of the cooled cake and top with smashed pieces of Cadbury Crème Egg.
