- By CLAIRE HARRISON Nuneaton Reporter news@trinitymirror.com

SCHOOL uniforms will be swapped for swimming costumes as Nuneaton pupils have won the ‘ultimate school trip.’

Birch class members are the envy of St Paul’s C of E School as they will be jetting off to Majorca.

The Year 5 class pupils Finley, Charlotte, Denver, Brandon and Gracie won the coveted class trip after impressing Jet2holidays bosses.

Their animation also won a public vote - booking places on the plan for themselves and their classmates,

Schools across the country were challenged by Jet2holidaysto produce a promotional piece for Sol Katmandu Park & Resort. Five schools across the region were shortlisted, but the pupils at St Paul’s School won.

Now they will spend a long weekend at the resort in Majorca where they will take part in fun educational workshops with celebrity hosts including TV presenters Dick and Dom and Diversity’s Jordan Banjo.

The workshops will focus on science, history, drama and crafts.

They will also get a VIP send off at Birmingham Airport, a welcome dinner with celebrities, and the ultimate school disco and show.

If that was not enough, the school has also won £1,000 worth of school equipment vouchers.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Congratulations to the teachers and pupils from St Paul’s C of E School, and we cannot wait to welcome them on our Ultimate School Trip.

“The standard of all the shortlisted entries was fantastic and I’d like to say well done to everyone who has taken part in the competition.

“The pupils came up with a brilliant idea and obviously put a huge amount of work into the entry, so they really deserve their place.

“That hard work has really paid off, as they now get to experience this educational trip of a lifetime and travel to Majorca with their classmates to experience a long weekend of fun and learning.”

Proud Stacey Brammer, Birch class teacher, said: “A big well done to Finley, Charlotte, Denver, Brandon and Gracie.”
