A THIEF struck at the same Coventry store 12 times in less than two months.
Sarah Donovan returned to Dunelm a dozen times and stole bedding items worth a total of nearly £3,000 in that time.
The 35-year-old, of Ridgethorpe, Willenhall, was eventually caught and pleaded guilty to 12 counts of theft when she appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court.
Donovan, who also admitted failing to answer bail, was handed a 20-week prison sentence which was suspended for a year and ordered to pay £115 compensation.
Other cases heard at Coventry Magistrates’ Court from March 8 to 14, included:
39, of Isambard Drive, Longford, admitted handling stolen goods (92 scent diffusers and refills) from B&M Bargains. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
26, of no fixed address, admitted stealing Easter eggs and washing detergent worth £190 from Tesco and possession of diamorphine. She was given a community order including rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay a £85 victim surcharge.
37, of Everdon Road, Holbrooks, admitted stealing Easter eggs and washing detergent worth £190. She was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for a years due to “wilful and persistent failure to comply with community order” and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge. 21, of Chepstow Close, Willenhall, was found guilty of handling stolen goods (Boardman Racing Bike worth £1,500) and resisting arrest, and admitted failing to attend a follow-up assessment and failing to answer bail. He was sent to prison for 14 weeks and ordered to pay £125 compensation, £760 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
34, of Easedale Close, Styvechale, admitted stealing clothing, fragrance and luggage worth £40 from Debenhams and clothing worth £703 from Marks & Spencer. She was fined £146 and ordered to pay £30 surcharge.
40, of Deedmore Road, Wood End, was found guilty of driving while using a mobile phone. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £200 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
