THIS Morning star Holly Willoughby was close to tears after a Nuneaton mum revealed her son walked her down the aisle.

The presenter almost cried when she talked about how little Tyler Dunn walked his mum, Nicky, down the aisle during the wedding at Nuneaton Register Office.

Nicky had contacted This Morning as part of a special feature about ‘who walked you down the aisle’ linked to the news that Meghan Markle’s father will not walk her down the aisle at the Royal Wedding this weekend.

It featured last on the segment and the sight of the then almost two-year-old Tyler walking his mum down the aisle to his waiting dad Liam proved too much for the presenter – who was close to tears.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph Nicky Dunn said that she didn’t even know that the photograph was going to feature.

“I just emailed a few photographs to the show and didn’t expect them to use it,” said Mrs Dunn, who lives in Stockingford.

“I phoned Liam and told him that I had sent an email, I recorded the show and then went to Tesco.”

Unbeknown to the mum-of-two, the production company emailed her back, asking her to appear on the show via phone – but she saw the email too late- in fact she missed the whole segment.

“Liam phoned me and said he had watched it on his phone and said they had used the photograph, it was then that I checked my emails and saw that they had emailed me.”

When she got back home, she watched the segment: “I know that Holly is known for getting a bit emotional and I suppose the sight of this cute, little red-headed boy walking his mum down the aisle just got to her,” she said.

“I lost my dad about 18 years ago and because we didn’t have groomsmen and bridesmaids, and the fact that I wanted my mum to have the mum of the bride role and be able to watch me walk down the aisle, it seemed perfect to get Tyler to walk me down the aisle.”

The clip featuring the close-totears presenter went viral, much to Mrs Dunn’s surprise: “Next thing I knew it was online and on the national newspapers, I was cringing,” she said.

They showed the TV clip to Tyler, now aged five, when he got back from school yesterday and he took it in his stride.

“At first he was quite excited and said ‘I’m on telly’ but then he soon got over it and said ‘Can I go and play football now?,’ he hasn’t mentioned it since!”
