Primark in city centre getting refit

- By LAURA HARTLEY News Reporter news@reachplc.com

SHOPPERS can expect their city’s Primark store to look a little different when they do their shopping.

The store is currently undergoing a refit, which isn’t set to be finished until the end of July.

The windows which normally contain all the latest looks on the mannekins have been blocked with advertisements.

There are several posters up across the windows. One says the store is open as usual, and the other says ‘Your improved store.’

Customers can expect the new improved Broadgate store to be more modern than it is now, with it even having seats and wifi.

A spokesman for Primark said: “Our Coventry store is currently undergoing a refurbishment and is scheduled for completion at the end of July.

“The new design and layout will reflect Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit, providing customers with an enhanced shopping experience.

“The refurbished store will include new and improved fitting rooms, access to free Wifi and customer ‘recharge’ seating areas for more enjoyable and convenient shopping.”

And that means anyone out shopping with someone who’s indecisive will have somewhere to surf the net while they wait in comfort.

It is the first refit since the store opened nearly 12 years ago in October 2006.
