YOU CAN BE A DETECTIVE FOR THE DAY IN INTERACTIV­E GAME BASED ON CLASSIC BOARD GAME

A TOWN is hosting a murder mystery event with a difference.

Warwick town centre will be turned into a real-life Cluedo board this summer as teams work together to solve a whodunit mystery.

The interactiv­e game, which invites you to ‘become a detective for the day,’ will see the mystery unfold through a mobile app as teams search the whole town for clues.

In teams of between two and six, players will explore the town tracking down witnesses, eliminatin­g suspects and ruling out murder weapons.

CluedUpp, who run the event, describe it as ‘Cluedo meets Pokemon Go.’

On the day you’ll be competing with hundreds of other players and participan­ts are encouraged to turn up in fancy dress with the theme glamour and gangster.

The event can last anywhere between one and four hours according to the website – but the average squad of detectives take around two hours 20 minutes to solve the crime .

Prizes will be given out for the fastest team, the best team name, the best fancy dress and even the best dog detective! Teams will be trying to track down the murderer of notorious gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray. The CluedUpp website says: “It’s winter 1967 and this wasn’t a phone call that Chief Superinten­dent ‘Nipper’ Read has ever expected to receive... “Read was not only shocked, he felt cheated. The murder mystery day comes to Warwick on Saturday, August 18.

Teams can start anytime between 10am and 1pm and will be sent the secret starting location one week before. Tickets cost £30 per team.
