ARRESTS AFTER NUNEATON SHOOTING
ARRESTS have been made in connection with the shooting in Nuneaton during a pre-planned armed operation.
Firearms officers were spotted in the Queens Road area on Tuesday night and Warwickshire Police confirmed it was related to the shooting in Attleborough .
Officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Birmingham and a 37-year-old man from Bedworth .
A woman from Nuneaton has also been arrested in connection with the incident. All three are currently in custody. A shooting left a man aged in his 20s in a serious but stable condition in hospital. it happened at around 3am on Friday in Bull Street but the police cordon was thrown around a large part of the Green as forensic teams searched for clues.
Investigations have been ongoing for the past five days and will continue says Detective Chief Inspector Pete Hill.
“Enquiries are still ongoing and we continue to thoroughly investigate the circumstances,” DCI Hill said.
“At this stage, it is being treated as an isolated incident and is believed to have been targeted.
“I would like to thank the local community for their patience during the early stages of this investigation.
“If anyone has any information which could assist us, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch.”
