THE FEDERER’S NEW CLOTHES

HE IS the favourite to lift this year’s men’s trophy and eighttime Wimbledon champion Roger Federer was this week unveiled as Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo’s newest Global Brand Ambassador.

After 10 years of wearing Nike sportswear, a partnership that was believed to be worth £7.5m a year, the Swiss star stepped onto Centre Court in his Uniqlo kit on Monday.

However he was still wearing Nike tennis shoes because Uniqlo don’t currently make footwear.

A PERRY NICE BARGAIN

WITH all eyes currently on the tennis at SW19, is there a cooler holdall to be carrying right now than this Fred Perry one?

Founded by the three-time Wimbledon champ back in 1952, Fred Perry remains one of the most loved sportswear brands in the UK and its signature laurel wreath logo is unmistakeable.

Best of all, this bag is now reduced from £85 to £59.50 at fredperry.com

GOING FOR GOLD (AND BLACK)

THERE are definite shades of Nineties Versace about this gold and black fitted T-shirt, but it is actually from River Island and will set you back just £18. Wear with black jeans or white if you have the guts to work that full-on South Beach Miam look.

SIMPLY SCENT-SATIONAL

FOLLOWING on from the first Coach For Men scent, this month sees the launch of the fashion house’s second male fragrance, Coach Platinum.

With notes of black pepper oil, juniper berries, cashmerean and vanilla leather, it is a woody oriental scent and comes in a stylish silver bottle with leather label tag.

It hits shelves on July 16, priced from £49.
