Wasps begin new campaign with a trip to face Warriors

WASPS kick-off their 2018/19 Gallagher Premiership campaign with a trip to face Worcester Warriors.

Dai Young’s side head to Sixways on Saturday, September 1 for a 3pm kick-off to face the strong favourites for relegation in the new season.

It is the first instalment of a fivegame strong opening month for the black-and-golds, with the first match at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, September 8 against last season’s defeated Premiership finalists Exeter Chiefs for a 3pm kick-off, with the game being screened live by BT Sport. Another televised match at the Ricoh Arena awaits on Sunday, September 16 when Leicester Tigers make the short trip for a 3pm kick-off.

The month concludes with two lengthy trips north, firstly a visit to the AJ Bell Stadium to face Sale Sharks on Saturday, September 22 (3pm) before a Friday night clash at Kingston Park with Newcastle Falcons on Friday, September 28 (7.45pm). Both are on BT Sport.

Wasps’ last fixture before Christmas sees them host Bath on the weekend of December 21, 22 or 23 before ending the year with a trip to Harlequins on Saturday, December 29.

Wasps run-in to the end of the season sees them head to Exeter Chiefs on the weekend of April 12/13/14, host Saracens on April 26/27/28, travel to Bath on May 3/4/5 before a final-round home clash with Harlequins on May 18. The new year gets underway with Northampton Saints heading to Coventry on the weekend of January 4/5/6.
