School cuts continue

-

ENGLAND’S schools system has seen greater funding cuts than Wales in recent years, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

Cuts to local council budgets and post-16 education have fuelled a larger drop in per pupil spending in England than across the border.

Overall, between 2009/10 and 2017/18, total school spending per pupil fell around 8% compared to 5% in Wales.
