Robins: We’ll need to be at our best

they have certain characteri­stics about them. They’re a pressing team, counter pressing and they try and put you under pressure and cause chaos and make you uncomforta­ble.

“They will take risks and chances and they have some players they’ve kept from the Championsh­ip and brought some new ones in.

“They’re a good club and they will bring a big support and that in itself shows that the supporters are happy with what they’ve seen.

“They do things in a similar way to us I think. Their recruitmen­t has been good and I think they’re doing a good job.

“They’ve changed the way they’re playing and it has been successful for them so far.”

The Sky Blues came into the division via the opposite door having won promotion from League Two. Their start to the campaign has been slower but the morale-boosting victory at Oxford United last weekend was evidence that progress is being made.

Robins said: “You look at this league and there are some big clubs and very good teams. It looks almost like a second Championsh­ip and with the knock-on of players coming down, it keeps getting better and stronger.

“We have to make sure we can compete and early on we have done that and the level has 100 per cent gone up since the last time we were in it only 12 months ago and we’ve had to do a lot over that time.”
