Restaurant set to open soon

open THE in latest Cathedral restaurant Lanes dining to quarter will be serving up food within a matter of weeks. The signs are going up for Bistrot Pierre, which was due to open at the end of September. Delays mean eager diners will have to wait a little bit longer. But foodies, will be relieved to know it is now due to open on October. 4 It joins five others in the West Midlands, including our neighbours in Leamington and Stratford. The chain prides itself on offering Anglo-French dishes, freshly prepared by their chefs sourced local producers daily ingredient­s using and carefully from artisan French producers and suppliers. The restaurant will be open seven-days-a-week and has an external terrace overlookin­g Broadgate Square, a bar area and space to seat 124 diners. Simon Barnes, regional manager from Bistrot Pierre said: “We have had a really positive response from the people of Coventry who are excited that we are bringing our authentic bistrot dishes and relaxed dining experience to the city. “We pride ourselves on offering something really special every day, whether that is mussels and medallions de porc from our lunch menu, our Soriee Gastronomi­e every Tuesday evening – a tasting menu of six speciallys­elected dishes and our Steak Soiree where customers can enjoy steak and creme brulee from £10 every Thursday.” Co-owner of Bistrot Pierre, Rob Beacham added: “We’re confident that our individual interiors and special evening events will appeal to the people of Coventry and we look forward to building a local customer base here.”
