MORE than 100 free business events are on the bill for this year’s Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival, which kicks off in just over a month’s time.

The festival is running from November 19 to 30 and over the fortnight, events of all shapes, sizes and descriptions are being held all over the region by Coventry & Warwickshire’s business community.

Events are free to attend and are being run ‘by business for business’ to create learning, sharing, networking and collaboration opportunities that will help overall business growth.

The programme contains seminars, expos, workshops and networking sessions in a variety of subjects ranging from business development, automotive and advanced manufacturing, education and skills to health and wellbeing, property and construction and professional services and much more.

The programme is listed on the Business Festival website cwbusinessfestival.com where people can book tickets on a first come, first served basis.

Also, new to 2018, is the CWBF app - free to download from Google Play or the Apple store from October 29.

The app makes it easy for people to browse, search and filter events as well as book tickets directly from their mobiles and tablet devices.

The festival was started in 2017 by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) and the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub.

This year’s headline partner is multi awardwinning insurance broker, Inspire Insurance.

Craig Humphrey, managing director of the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub, said: “This is the second year of the business festival and I am really pleased to see that it has become a prominent feature in the annual business calendar.

“There is a fabulous range of events on offer all over the region from North Warwickshire and Nuneaton to Stratford, Rugby and Warwick as well as Coventry. There will be something for everyone, whether they are a small enterprise looking to take their business to the next level or a large corporate wishing to employ a new health and well-being strategy or up-skill staff.

“The Growth Hub is running some useful and interesting events including dispelling the myths surrounding the Fourth Industrial Revolution on November 27 where we will be introducing local businesses to the advantages of technological advancement, as well as maximise trading opportunities with India on November 23. It’s going to be a very captivating festival and I urge people to start booking their tickets now to make sure they can attend the events that they want to, as ‘free events’ usually mean tickets get snapped up quickly.”

The business festival is run in association with the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership and the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub and managed by Associate Events.

The headline sponsor is Inspire Insurance and partners are Coventry University and the University of Warwick. Sponsors are thefutureworks, CUE Business Solutions and the MTC.

Supporters RDM, Deeleys, include Tisski, Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council, Coventry City of Culture and the district councils of North Warwickshire, Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby, Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick and media partners include Business & Innovation magazine, Elonex and Cross Productions. The official app partner is Infonote Datasystems.
