TOM Bayliss has told fans “I hope you’re enjoying this” as Coventry City’s aim to keep their winning run rolling.

The Sky Blues have won four League One games on the spin, beating Charlton Athletic, Wycombe Wanderers, Southend United and Bradford City.

The Sky Blues teenager was in superb form on Tuesday night, adding the icing on the cake to a 4-2 victory at Valley Parade as Mark Robins’s men beat Bradford City for only the second time in 16 attempts in the Bantams’ own back yard.

And in the process, the efforts of City’s hotest talent earned him a place in the EFL Team of the Week.

Bayliss cut in to the edge of the box where he rolled home a brilliant left foot finish into the bottom corner 19 minutes from time, to add to first half goals from Jonson ClarkeHarris COVENTRY City boss Mark Robins is playing a waiting game with defender Jordan Willis ahead of the clash with Doncaster Rovers.

The Sky Blues entertain Grant McCann’s side at the Ricoh Arena hoping to make it five wins on the bounce in League One.

But Robins may once again be without central defender Willis due to a knee injury. and Conor Chaplin, and a sensational third from Jordy Hiwula who slotted home after a blistering counter attack. The 19-year-old has been virtually ever present in the league so far this term, missing just one game, having firmly established himself in the middle of the park alongside skipper Michael Doyle. The EFL said of the midfielder: “A breakout star of Coventry’s League Two Play-Off winning side last season, Bayliss has continued to perform this campaign. “A fourth straight league win for the Sky Blues, and an impressive 4-2 win against Bradford City – including Bayliss’ strike into the bottom corner to score City’s fourth.” If City make it five on the trot at home to Doncaster Rovers this weekend it will be the best run of victories for 20 years. And Bayliss is delighted Mark Robins’ team are serving up plenty for fans to celebrate. “I think I said that a few weeks ago, we know we can challenge against anyone in the division,” he said.

“We have played some of the top sides and we have been good against them. So, yes I think we can challenge anyone. We are scoring goals from all over and hopefully the fans are enjoying the football that we are playing.”

Bayliss has hailed the unity in the squad which has taken Sky Blues up to eighth in the League One table.

“Obviously the morale is high in the camp, we have won four on a bounce now and it has been a really good month for us and hopefully we can make it five against Doncaster,” he added.

“I think everyone has been saying earlier in the season, everything was coming together nicely and that has proved to be the fact as everything is coming together nicely.

A welcome problem as Coventry City prepare to face Doncaster

“We are scoring goals from all over the park and winning games which is brilliant. It’s always nice to score four goals away from home and probably the performance wasn’t one of our best, but the goals were always going to come.” four wins in a row, morale is as high as it could be at the moment.”

Rovers have won just one of their last five league games and were defeated 1-0 by Sunderland on Tuesday night. Robins, however, is anticipating a tough test on home turf. I expect a good game against Doncaster, I expect a good crowd as well and it to be noisy. Hopefully we can have a good performance.”
