COULD Warwickshire become the home of Denny’s third ever UK restaurant?

It certainly is a possibility with confirmation that Stratford is on their list of potential sites opening in the next few years.

The American diner chain first sparked excitement on social media back in April after posting a photo of their next possible location.

Some eagle-eyed fans suggested the secret location was in fact Stratford-upon-Avon .

Denny’s didn’t confirm the whereabouts they were scouting out at the time but several people guessed it was the town’s Maybird shopping centre.

The diner, famous for its breakfasts, burgers and shakes, opened their first UK restaurant in Swansea on Christmas Day last year.

On Thursday April 5 Denny’s UK announced on their Facebook page that they would be scouting out locations for their second restaurant.

They have now a diner in Glasgow, so could Stratford be their third?

Well, they have confirmed to the Telegraph that they will be opening 200 restaurants over the UK - and Stratford is among the potential locations.

A spokesman for Denny’s UK said: “We have plans to open 200 sites across the UK over the next 10 years. Stratford Upon Avon is on a list of potential locations for Denny’s UK.

“For all announcements, please follow our social media pages.”

Since the Swansea restaurant opened, people have travelled on round trips totalling hundreds of miles to visit it. So what’s so special about Denny’s?

It’s become a favourite for Brits when visiting America due to its massive menu, huge portion sizes and authentic diner experience.

Waffles, pancakes, breakfast platters and burgers all feature heavily, along with shakes and sundaes.

The picture on Facebook earlier this year got lots of people excited at the thought of a Denny’s diner in Warwickshire.

Demis Panayi said: “I went to Denny’s in Las Vegas... you are more than welcome to open one in Stratford!”

Debi Court was equally excited, saying: “This would be great in Stratford.”
