ST Thomas More Sixth Form College on Greenmoor Road in Nuneaton is preparing to open its doors to welcome students for its annual open evening.

The event will be held in the sixth form college on Thursday, November 15th from 6 pm.

Since opening in 2011 the college has enrolled students from different secondary schools in Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Coventry. Around 50 per cent of the students currently studying in the college are from St Thomas More school with the rest being made up from other schools in the area.

Sixth form provision is housed solely in a striking £6.5 million facility which includes large spacious seminar rooms, a student social area, a lecture theatre and a student learning resource centre which ensures that every student has computer facilities when required.

The college offers a wide range of A level courses and an increasing number of BTEC opportunities. Students can take part in team building camps, the Duke of Edinburgh award and a mission to Kenya as well as other exciting enrichment opportunities.

Mrs Anderton, Director of Sixth Form, commented: “We are proud of our students, our teachers and the exciting ethos at St Thomas More sixth form. Students here succeed and we have a good tradition of excellent results. Our results are well above national average and we have seen students making very positive progress year on year.

“Nearly 100% of students and parents in our recent survey stated that they would recommend St Thomas More Sixth Form College to other parents and students. We would welcome any visitors to come to our open evening to see for themselves what we have to offer.”

St Thomas More Sixth Form College would be delighted to meet any student and their family to view the college with an opportunity to meet staff and discuss potential courses and future career plans.
