Teen chased by masked men and stabbed in back
A TEENAGER spent Christmas in hospital after being stabbed in the back by a gang of masked men.
The 16-year-old suffered a punctured lung after being chased and then attacked by the group in King William Street, Hillfields, shortly before 7pm on Sunday, December 23.
West Midlands Police said the victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Officers are still investigating the incident and say that “enquiries are ongoing”, although no arrests have been made so far.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police previously said: “Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the back in King William Street on Sunday, December 23.
“At around 7pm, the teenager was walking down King William Street when he was chased by a group of masked men.
“He was taken to hospital with a punctured lung where he remains in a stable condition.
“CCTV is currently being reviewed and officers have spoken to a number of witnesses.”

before 7pm last night (Sunday) outside a pizza shop on King William Street, Coventry.
“Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended and treated a teenage boy who had suffered serious injuries.
“He was given trauma care on scene before being taken by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further care.”
