BE it a sports coach, sports therapist, personal trainer or PE teacher, Moreton Morrell College has a course to set young people up for a great career in sport and fitness.
The sport and leisure industry is booming and with newly developed pathways students can work towards a range of sports and fitness careers.
Sport & Activity Leadership For Learners is ideal for those who want to start a career in sport and physical activity and intend to progress directly to employment within sport and activity leadership, or to an apprenticeship.
Sport & Exercise Science develops knowledge and experience of science in relation to sport and exercise and focuses on how exercise affects the athlete with a view to optimising performance.
Sport - Extended Diploma is a qualification that develops knowledge and experience of sport with the emphasis on coaching principles, anatomy and physiology and the fitness demands required for sports performance.
Sport (Football Academy) - Men’s & Women’s focuses on tactics and coaching principles from participation level to elite performance, anatomy and physiology, along with the fitness demands required for sports performance.
Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation is a course that develops high-level professional knowledge and skills prior to higher education or specialist training in areas such as sports therapy, sports massage, physiotherapy or sports rehabilitation.
There are also fitness services for students who want to become fitness instructors or personal trainers. Whilst studying a sports course, students can also play for the college’s Elite Football Academy, run in association with Leamington Football Club. This offers additional coaching by UEFA A licence coach and ex-Welsh international David Phillips.
Those interested are welcome at the open event on Saturday, January 26, from 10am to1pm, when they can talk to expert tutors, view the facilities and find out more about college life.
