Nisa store donates £300 to Canley Community Centre

-

THE Nisa Local store in Prior Deram Walk, Coventry, has donated £300 to Canley Community Centre through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity, which helped to fund a children’s Christmas party for the local community last month.

This donation is the first made by the store through the charity, made possible thanks to the support of local shoppers, purchasing selected products in store.

Making a Difference Locally is a charity established to support local communities, allowing Nisaaffiliated retailers to support local causes that matter to them with charitable donations. Every time a customer purchases an item as part of the Making a Difference Locally scheme, a proportion of the cost is added to the store’s charity fund, which goes on to be distributed to local causes and organisations.

Janaarthany Ahilawanar, director of AAE Retail LTD (who run the store), said: “Our customers make this possible through their support of our Making a Difference Locally products and we are proud to be able to support worthy local causes such as this.

“We always believe we are part of our local community and are remaining in this competitive market, thanks to the support of our customers in the Canley community.

“We strongly believe that we have a social responsibility to serve the community we are in. We have always taken part in the community activities and as a part of the Nisa family we are taking this opportunity to make a difference locally with a donation to our closest community centre in Canley.

“We have been supporting the community centre to benefit local good causes and this time we have decided to donate to help the children in need in our area to celebrate Christmas. It was very satisfying to see big smiles on those little faces and we will continue to support our local community.

“We see this as a great opportunity to make a difference locally to our customers and their loved ones as a gesture of goodwill and a big thank-you.”
