IT WAS another busy weekend on the red carpet, as not one but two awards ceremonies took place.
Movie stars gathered at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Baftas, while chart topping music artists arrived at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards.
Starting closer to home, Les Misérables actress Lily Collins looked flawless at the Baftas in a royal blue couture Givenchy gown. The daughter of legendary musician Phil Collins, braved the London chill in a matching satin jacket.
Her dress had an interesting mix of lace, embellishment and flowing hems, making it textured and playful. The 29-year-old wore chunky open-toe heels, and kept her make-up clean and minimal except for a striking maroon lip.
Over at the Grammys, model Heidi Klum re-lived her Victoria’s Secret Angel days with the white wings on this Stephane Rolland Spring 2018 Haute Couture dress. Its bold statement shoulders frilled out at the sides for an extravagant look.
Sparkling Lorraine Schwartz jewels and similarly shiny Jimmy Choo shoes complemented the embellishment on the front of her frock.
Former Fifth Harmony member and now solo artist, Camila Cabello was a vision in a rich magenta Armani Privé number.
The glittering gown’s open-back detailing and structured shoulders heightened its allure.
Harry Winston jewels and her jet-black ponytail added a flirtatious feel to the ensemble.
