Pay £50 for first team trial

NUNEATON Borough have announced an open trial for their first team but people will have to fork out for it.

The ‘Boro is holding open trials to find new first team players but people will have to pay £50 to take part.

In a post made on its website, the club announced the trials on Tuesday, March 5.

It reads: “Players are invited to pre-register for the trial and come along for the afternoon with the chance to earn a place in a side that will face the first team later that evening.

“The trial costs £50 and interested players should email the club for registrati­on and payment details. The trial will be limited to 50 places so get your details in early.”

The trials at the ‘Boro will start at 2.30pm and will include a break so that players can be chosen for a trial match at 7.30pm.

It has been just over a week since former chair Nick Hawkins announced that he would be standing down from the role he held for three months.
