Enobakhare has Bright stuff – boss

-

MARK Robins admits that Wolverhampton Wanderers loan star Bright Enobakhare is everything he hoped he’d be when he joined Coventry City in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old was drafted in to add quality to the Sky Blues attack and help them get the goal required to kick the team towards the League One play-offs.

And after his match-winning contribution at Accrington Stanley at the weekend, the City manager was waxing lyrical over what he described as an “unbelievable” performance.

Enobakhare has played eight games for the club to date and Saturday’s 60th-minute winner came as his third goal – an impressive finish after driving into the box past two players.

The Nigerian-born player is out of contract at Molineux in the summer, still waiting to hear if his Premier League boss Nuno Espirito Santo will offer him a new deal to remain part of his plans or let him further his career elsewhere.

Asked if the Wolves forward is everything he hoped he’d be, Robins said: “Yes, absolutely.

“He’s still got a way to go but we know he’s a talented player and I am absolutely delighted with him and for him because that was a really good performance from him.

“Not just the goal, but his all-round performance. He’s got that bit of quality that can change a game,” Robins added.

Head of recruitment Chris Badlan can take credit for identifying the young talent, having worked with him at Molineux during his time at Wanderers as head of emerging talent.

“Chris knows him really well and helped take him into Wolves, so we know him,” said Robins. Asked if there is any chance of getting Enobakhare back next season, either on loan or as a permanent signing, Robins said with a big smile on his face: “Who knows, who knows!”
