Investigat­ion under way after stabbing incident in Earlsdon

NO arrests have yet been made after a man was stabbed in Earlsdon on Friday night (March 8).

The stabbing happened in Osborne Road, Earlsdon, at around 11.30pm.

The injured man was found at a nearby medical centre by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Police were called to the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service, and yesterday said the man had suffered “potentiall­y lifechangi­ng injuries”.

Today they announced his injuries are thankfully not lifechangi­ng.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police added: “No arrests have been made and police are continuing to investigat­e.”

The stabbing on Friday night was the 10th in the city so far this year.

It comes just 24 hours after a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the head in an alleged robbery in the city at Godiva Place student accommodat­ion in Hillfields on Thursday night (March 7).

Police have since charged another 20-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He was due to appear in court on Saturday (March 9).
