Investigation under way after stabbing incident in Earlsdon

NO arrests have yet been made after a man was stabbed in Earlsdon on Friday night (March 8).

The stabbing happened in Osborne Road, Earlsdon, at around 11.30pm.

The injured man was found at a nearby medical centre by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Police were called to the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service, and yesterday said the man had suffered “potentially lifechanging injuries”.

Today they announced his injuries are thankfully not lifechanging.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police added: “No arrests have been made and police are continuing to investigate.”

The stabbing on Friday night was the 10th in the city so far this year.

It comes just 24 hours after a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the head in an alleged robbery in the city at Godiva Place student accommodation in Hillfields on Thursday night (March 7).

Police have since charged another 20-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He was due to appear in court on Saturday (March 9).
