Three men charged with drugs and firearms offences

THREE men will appear in court tomorrow charged with raft of guns and drugs offences.

The charges come following a series of searches carried out under warrant by West Midlands Police in the Bedworth area last week.

Two of the three were arrested by officers after a car was stopped on Holbrooks Lane, Coventry, on Wednesday.

Scott Moore, aged 27 and Luke Moore, also 27, face charges of: Conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so; conspire to sell/ transfer a pistol, a prohibited weapon; conspiracy to supply cocaine; conspiracy to supply amphetamin­e.

Police were searching three separate sites last week, one on Green Lane, Nuneaton, another at Pedley’s Self Storage in Wilsons Lane, Bedworth and a third property in the Daimler Green area of Coventry.

The operation was led by West Midlands Police working in partnershi­p with neighbouri­ng force Warwickshi­re.

As part of the investigat­ion, Kane Brown, 22, was arrested on Friday (March 8).

He was also charged on Saturday night and will appear at Birmingham Magistrate­s Court today with Luke and Scott Moore.

He faces charges of: Possession of a firearm of less than 30cm/60cm - a prohibited weapon; acquisitio­n/ use/possession of criminal property; possession with intent to supply cannabis.

All three suspects have been remanded into custody before their court appearance today morning.
