Our city roads are already race track

-

WHAT a farce your front page statement was in the Telegraph on Friday March 8th, ‘Racing on the ring road is back’. It’s never gone away!

The streets of this city are awash with drivers who think it’s perfectly ok to behave like F1 drivers.

At just after 6pm this evening, March 9th, Attoxhall Road sounded like Silverstone race track with wheels spinning and high speed racing.

I don’t live there I was out with my dog and could hear it.

On Thursday evening March 7th at 9.15pm I was followed by a driver from Ansty Road and up Belgrave Road. As I approached my right hand turn I slowed down and signalled to turn right. As I was about to turn this driver decided to overtake. Had I turned I would not be writing to you now.

These utterly selfish drivers have no thought for other road users.

Great stadium, great manager

WHILE I understand the outpouring of emotion by football fans now the critical stage has been reached in the club’s future I think they maybe a little optimistic by thinking Sisu will somehow realise just how much the club really means to the city of Coventry and change.

Some time ago I had an article in your paper saying that I didn’t think it was prudent for a football club to do deals with hedge funds.

CCFC has a great stadium available at a fair rent, they have a good manager with a lot of ambition, and crucially they have a fan base that would increase if the legal issues were settled and the club had a period of stability allowing them to concentrate on promotion to the Championship league, where they should be.
