THE INSIDE TRACK ON THE WEEK’S TELEVISION
WE’RE currently in the middle of a civilian series of Gogglebox, but tonight’s episode is the celebrity version, tied into Channel 4’s excellent Stand Up To Cancer campaign.
So who will be popping up, giving their verdicts on all the best (and the worst) of the week’s televisual offerings?
Well, there will be some of the most familiar faces from the recent celeb series, including Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, Spandau Ballet member and former EastEnder Martin Kemp and his DJ son Roman, and telly stalwart
Denise Van Outen and her fiancé Eddie.
But they’ve also roped in a couple of newbies, in the shape of League of Gentlemen and Inside Number Niners Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton. Quite appropriate, given that it’s nearly Halloween and these boys love their horror, so hopefully they’ll have them watching something suitably spooky.
Both comedians turned serious actors, Reece and Steve have made and starred in their fair share of quality telly over the years, but what do they like watching themselves?
Do their tastes lean more towards Strictly Come Dancing, or Celebrity X Factor, we wonder?
The celebs will also be joined by some of the regular Gogglebox faves, such as Lee and Jenny from the caravan in Hull.
As we all sit and watch the heartbreaking and moving Stand Up To Cancer films together – made to encourage us to donate – you can bet on there being tears before bedtime and hopefully lots of cash raised too.
