- By RACHEL STRETTON News Reporter rachel.stretton@reachplc.com

SCHOOLS are once again being called into service as polling stations - and it can cause a headache for some parents and carers as the buildings close for the day.

It comes as people are being asked to cast their vote in the General Election 2019 on December 12.

But not all schools will be affected, even if they are being used as polling stations. Most schools in Coventry are unaffected and will remain open, although there are a number across Warwickshire that will be closed.

If your child’s school is closed you should already have been contacted by the head teacher.

People are advised to contact individual schools for full details.
