No plane sailing for Boeing after damning emails

-

THE controversial Boeing 737 Max airliner involved in two fatal crashes and used by many British holidaymakers was “designed by clowns”, according to the company’s own staff.

As all models of the plane remain grounded, hundreds of damning internal emails have revealed some of the firm’s employees knew about serious problems with the jet.

Staff even mocked America’s powerful Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) when they appeared to get away with covering those issues up.

Boeing released the trove of internal messages that raise serious questions about its development of simulators and the 737 Max, as part of the ongoing investigations.

In the messages, which were handed over to US Congress and the FAA, Boeing employees talked about misleading regulators about problems with the simulators.

“This airplane is designed by clowns who in turn are supervised by monkeys,” one employee wrote.

Employees also complained about Boeing’s senior management, the company’s selection of low-cost suppliers and wasting money.

Boeing later said it was considering disciplinary action against some employees over the message exchanges.

Over the message exchanges? Not over the serious issues that those messages exposed, but over the exchanges themselves.

Is this what our world has come to? People who know full well that a plane is unsafe, putting thousands in jeopardy, but saying nothing.

God rest those who died at their hands.
