FOOD CRAZY DELICIOUS Channel 4, 8pm

“WELCOME to an incredible world where everything you can see, you can eat,” says comedian and foodie Jayde Adams.

It’s just like the garden in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory – surely everyone’s childhood dream realised?

It’s the world’s first edible set – an enchanted garden, which contains everything from tasty tree blossom and chocolate soil to a drinkable brook.

Although sadly for us viewers, it’s not quite within reach. It’s for contestants to pick, pluck and snip their ingredients to create extraordinary dishes and win the coveted Golden Apple.

Gourmet magician Heston Blumenthal is involved – of course he is. Joining him as the ‘Gods of Food’ are soulfood guru Carla Hall and Michelin-starred Swedish chef Niklas Ekstedt. They all want style, flavour and flare.

This time, Adam, Hannah and Hardeep must elevate the humble strawberry to new heights, put the hot into hot dog and produce a unique birthday spread.

Enter a world of pure imagination.

DAVID JASON’S GREAT BRITISH INVENTIONS MORE4, 9pm

HE may be acting royalty, but in a former life Sir David Jason was a mechanic – and he still loves tinkering with machines.

“I’ve always been fascinated by how things work,” he says, as he embarks on this series to find out the remarkable stories behind big British inventions.

As he investigates everything from the tank and hovercraft to the lawn mower and television, David’s enthusiasm makes him a compelling guide.

Particularly fun scenes see him meet inventors who are dreaming up gadgets that wouldn’t look out of place in a Wallace & Gromit film.

In this episode, he finds out about the Penny Farthing, trying and failing to get onto one. And there’s an emotional reunion when he drives an original Reliant Regal Supervan, that old yellow Trotters Independent Trading Co van, as used in Only Fools And Horses.

“These sell for £50,000 now,” he says. “Del Boy would have loved that.
