HORSERACING: Former Coventry City striker Micky Quinn will be part of special Cheltenham Festival preview evening at CTK Club in Coventry.

Former footballer turned horse trainer Quinn will join jockey Jonjo O’Neill Jr, Chipping Norton-based trainer Charlie Longsdon and bookmaker Luke Tarr the at Christ The King Club in Coundon on Tuesday, March 3 to discuss this year’s Cheltenham Festival and to hopefully provide the crowd with some winning tips.

The MC on the evening will be Talksport’s Adam Bridge.

Quinn scored 25 goals in 64 appearances from 1992-95 for the Sky Blues after joining from Newcastle United. The Scouse striker netted 10 goals in his first six games and has remained a real cult hero for many Coventry fans.

Since retiring from playing football, the one-time striker has had a varied workload. A regular at talk-ins and a media pundit talking about football, as well as a bit of celebrity slimming. However, his passion has always been horseracing, especially since giving up playing football.
