COVENTRY Building Society has launched a huge recruitment drive to fill 100 new roles.

And that is just the start of an expansion that will see more jobs created throughout 2020.

The Coventry, one of the city’s largest employers, is recruiting around 100 roles in its IT and change teams.

The roles range from business analysts to a head of practice and from technical specialists through to a new head of technology operations.

They would be based at the company’s head offices in Binley and Walsgrave.

Coventry Building Society was named 47th on the Sunday Times list of best companies to work for in 2019.

The Coventry’s change department leads the way in helping the business to improve the service it provides to members.

Some of the new roles are already available on the Coventry Building Society job site here with the rest being advertised by March.

Further new roles will be advertised throughout the year and there is a facility on the website for people to sign up for future job alerts.

Steve O’Donnell, chief information officer at Coventry

Building Society, said: “These are very exciting times for our IT and change teams as the company invests tens of millions in its technology.

“Investment on this scale means there are new opportunities for people to come in and take projects from concept to completion and develop their careers along the way.

“We are rapidly building our cloud capability, our dev ops capability, investing in cyber and information security and incorporating more agile practices.

“It is the kind of work that should excite people and keep them interested and fulfilled day after day.”

Mr O’Donnell added: “We want people to take a look at the available jobs, read about why we’re such a great place to work, and fill out an application. We’ll be advertising even more roles throughout 2020 so if the perfect opportunity isn’t on our job site today, there’s a good chance it will be at some point this year, so it’s best to set a future job alert so you don’t miss out in future.”
