You can now book swimming lessons at Cov’s new pool

SINCE it was announced that the Alan Higgs Centre in Coventry was getting a revamp, many people have been waiting to find out when the new pool will be in use.

Although a date has not yet been confirmed, CV Life state online that the new Olympic-sized swimming pool will be opening in the “coming months”.

And there is now the opportunit­y to book swimming lessons at the centre, for when the day does arrive.

The Alan Higgs Centre offers lessons for children and adults, which is known as the Aquarius Schools Swim School.

Private lessons will also be offered, however these are designed for confident swimmers who can do continuous laps.

Lessons will take place everyday from 4pm to 6pm, from Stage 1 upwards.

If you would like to enrol for lessons at the Alan Higgs Centre, you can head to the reception desk.

Complete the enrolment and direct debit forms.

The centre will host a new 50m super-sized swimming pool.

It even has a floor which can be raised and lowered so it can be a suitable depth for everyone.

The pool also has an immersible boom in the middle providing ultimate flexibilit­y where the pool can be split into a 25m and a 23.5m.

It will be open to both Lifestyle members and the public.

Refurbishe­d health and fitness suiteThe health and fitness suite has been completely renovated.

If swimming isn’t your thing, then you are in luck as this is already open for use.

CVLife says the suite contains:

A new digital experience which will allow you to use your wellness bands to enter the facilities training
