Virtual quiz time to help boost funds for hospice

-

HAVE you booked your place to join The Myton Hospices Virtual Quiz yet?

It’s taking place tonight at 7.30pm via Zoom and costs £5 per person or £15 per family with all proceeds going to Myton.

Quiz master and DJ Sparky Marky will be hosting Myton’s first ever virtual quiz live from your living room! You bring the drinks & snacks, and we’ll bring the quiz to you.

What better way to spend a Friday night during lockdown than testing your knowledge and supporting your local hospice? We hope to see you there!

Commit to the crop, or chop your mop, and raise money for Myton! They’re faced with a lot of cuts to their fundraising at the moment so they’re asking you to get snipping to show your support.

Whether you brave the shave, trim your tresses, or even go for a Diy-dye, all they ask is that you set up a Justgiving page and share your before and after photos!

The concept is simple – participants walk up and down their stairs and step-by-step they can scale their very own virtual mountain.

The campaign features seven challenges, ranging from the Malvern Hills to Everest, to ensure there is something for everyone. Using the average height of a UK staircase, Myton has worked out the number of times participants would have to climb their stairs to scale the peaks.

All Myton asks is that people set up a Justgiving page linked to the campaign and get your friends, family or employers to sponsor you.

Pledge your preloved items to Myton!

Now is the perfect time to sort out your wardrobe and declutter your home, and when Myton’s shops re-open they will need your good quality, saleable items more than ever! With all of their shops and distribution centre closed at the moment you can’t drop off your donations but you can pledge your preloved items by letting them know that you will be donating and they’ll make sure you’re the first to know when they are back up and running.

They are also looking into the possibility of a collection service in line with social distancing and will let you know if that becomes an option. Visit www.mytonhospice.org/pledge
