BEST OF THE REST
THE GREAT BRITISH INTELLIGENCE TEST BBC2, 9pm
IS your smartphone making you stupid? Can the latest science make you cleverer? Would you be outsmarted by a 10-year-old? Probably not if home schooling goes on any longer…
In this play-along show, accompanied by an online test, Michael Mosley and Dr Hannah Fry test the nation’s brain power as part of a huge intelligence experiment.
Devised with leading scientists at London’s Imperial College, more than 250,000 people have taken part so far, and the results are fascinating.
Exploring plenty of questions about our intelligence, the show pits teams against each other to demonstrate – young versus old, males versus females, tech lovers versus readers.
But who will come out on top?
RICHARD & JUDY:
KEEP READING AND CARRY ON Channel 4, 5.30pm
EVERY lockdown needs a national treasure or two. And if anyone knows how to entertain a nation stuck to their sofas, it’s Richard and Judy.
This fast turnaround series airs every teatime this week as the beloved couple reveal their best reads.
Shot from their home, the seasoned TV hosts and self-confessed bookworms will be joined virtually by authors and celebrity guests who will discuss new releases. And of course, it gives us a chance to ogle the Madeley/finnegan choice of home decor.
Judy says: “Books can transport you to incredible places from the comfort of your sofa and so there is no better time to share our top picks for lockdown reads.”
