Different speed limits on same road confusing

-

WITH an unblemished record after 50 years driving, I am one of the 2,500 caught speeding doing 39 mph on the London Road.

I think having different speed limits on the same road is not only confusing but very devious.

Makes me think this is not so much about safety but more of a cash cow. G.lilley, Coventry. Someone is going to have to pay the price

I’M confused where and how our government can find all this spare cash to continue furloughing half the country and now promise billions to get the country back on track building new homes etc.

After years of austerity did they hide all their savings away under some huge Westminster mattress in case of a rainy day?

They seem to have a never ending pot of money, where before they couldn’t give the NHS what it needed and pay nurses what they deserved.

Well, before long someone is going to have pay for this terrible pandemic. I wonder who that will be?

P. Fellows, Coventry. Blundering their way through Covid crisis

I’VE just read about the new plans for weddings as the lockdown is eased and the country starts to get backs on its feet again.

Once again you really can’t make it up. A father can’t walk his daughter down the aisle and you have to wash your hands before and after the ring goes on the finger.

I don’t know why I’m so astounded as from day one the government has been a complete embarrassment with no plan whatsoever on how to handle the Covid-19 crisis. They continue to make it up as they go along.
