I would gladly pay more to buy British

-

SO Boris Johnson has now banned Huawei from any involvement in the development of a UK 5G network, leaving us up to three years behind other countries in the telecommunications field.

China has made threats over Hong Kong and the Huawei ban but I’m pleased we have cancelled the contract.

I think we should cut as much business with them as possible.

If the Prime Minister had said he was banning the tech giant but had found a comparable firm to replace it, I could understand, but once again he has made a last minute U-turn.

It’s just a pity there isn’t a UK manufacturer we could use but our once great country no longer makes anything.

Are we no longer capable of producing our own goods?

I would gladly pay more to buy British.

It’s good though that the Government has shown some courage and stood up to China.

Credit to manager who refused to complain

AFTER the FA Cup Final , although I support Arsenal, I give credit to Chelsea’s Frank Lampard. He didn’t complain about the referee despite some justification to do so. Imagine the difference in the post-match interview if José Mourinho were still manager of Chelsea.

Confused messages from the Government

WHY can’t our confused PM and his so-called health experts make their minds up?

We all know they’ve messed this up big time from the very start of the pandemic. Now they tell us to get back to our offices but then lock down whole cities. Let’s just live with this virus and carry on.
