- By ENDA MULLEN News Reporter enda.mullen@reachplc.com

THE Myton Hospices annual Golf Day will return in October to help raise vital funds.

The event will take place at Coventry Golf Club on Thursday 15th October, but like everything else in 2020, this year’s event will different to the charity’s previous Golf Days.

All of the day’s usual competitions will be on offer; the Hole in One to win a stunning watch courtesy of Tustains, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive. But due to social distancing and safety measures, the dinner and auction which would follow on from a day of golf will unfortunately not be taking place this year.

Teams will be greeted with coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, enjoy 18 holes of golf and try their hand at the competition holes, and a onecourse meal will then be served at the end of their round. Each team will also receive two free entries into the raffle on the day. To ensure everyone’s safety tee times will be staggered between 8am and 2pm.

Entry for a team of four costs £300 for non-coventry Golf Club members and £120 for members.

The event has also been rebranded as

The Myton Hospices AMAM in association with Tustains and Coventry Golf Club.

Yasmin Audhali, Corporate Fundraiser at Myton said: “Our annual Golf Day is always a wonderful occasion and we are really looking forward to welcoming old friends and new to our re-branded AMAM event at the amazing Coventry Golf Club.

“Our fundraising has been dealt a huge blow by the Covid-19 pandemic and your support has never been more important, so we hope you will join us, enjoy a great day out, and help raise as much money as possible to help Myton support terminally ill patients across Coventry and Warwickshire.”

Tom Milner, manager at Tustains which has once again sponsored the event, added: “Tustains are proud to sponsor and be a part of the re-branded 2020 Myton AMAM.

“The Myton Golf Day is always a fantastic occasion and raises such a wonderful amount of money for a truly worthy cause.”
