Car crime hotspots revealed in the latest police figures

- By BEN ECCLESTON News Reporter

A QUARTER of all vehicles crimes in Coventry were committed in a single policing area during the month of June.

Latest figures show that the area of Woodlands, Wainbody, Westwood and Whoberley was home to 42 reported vehicle crimes that month, leaving the city’s six other policing spots to pick up the rest of the total 176 recorded offences.

The true figures for Coventry could actually be much higher with people sometimes reluctant to report crimes to police.

The statistics come from the police. uk website and vehicle crimes include thieves stealing items from vehicles or even taking the vehicle itself.
